Dr. Susan E. Martin is a Cognitive Psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience applying her expertise to high risk, complex, real-world problems in government and industry settings, across multiple international locations, while successfully developing related, hybrid methodologies to address them. During her career she has led many diverse programs, including but not limited to: Cognitive maneuver, Cognitive Bias and Metacognitive Analysis for Risk assessment, management and intervention, Senior/Strategic Leader Cognitive Profile definition, Senior Leader Decision Dominance, Strategic Leader Cognitive Exercise/Serious Game Design, Autonomous System/Human integration, Effects Based C2 system design requirements development/evaluation, Novice to Expert cognitive transition and behavior, Cognitive processing in high-stress environments and analyses of a range of cultural (national, ethnic, organizational and professional) factors impacting decision making at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels.
Dr. Martin also designed and led a multi-year analysis of the (25-35year range) Global Future and related Fault-line Analysis Tracking which identifies emerging long-term threats/risks from multiple national perspectives, not only those of the US (allies and adversaries) and design of the National Interest Inventory to assess impact on US national policy, military response options and business strategy. She has recently completed tenure as an Invited Professor of Senior/Strategic Leader Cognition at the Center for Strategic Leadership at the USAWC.
